Do you try to keep it a secret that you’re female? If so, what are people’s reactions when they find out that you’re female warhammer player?

I never try to keep it a secret. And it is hard to disguise your voice on Vent and TS =) I like being a female gamer and have no reason to hide my gender.

Do you think women gamers face any obstacles or perhaps aren’t taken seriously, just because they are women?

Perhaps a couple years ago but I think it is becoming far more common to have us women in-game and people are accepting that we can be just as competent, aggressive, effective and skilled at our class as the male players.

Are you in a guild? Tell us about them, website, characteristics etc. :-)

I am currently in a guild on the Horde side, Blood Fist, and one on the Alliance, Dark Heart of Azeroth, in WoW while waiting for WAR to begin. They are both very successful raiding guilds but one is also still trying to stay a RP guild as well. Hard line to walk but they are doing very well at it. I really would like to try to get my DAoC family gathered back together for WAR.. and sort of turn back time but in a new land and game. 13. Please give us your comments on what it’s like to be a female in a predominately male environment.

I have to admit I enjoy being treated as a lady in-game and I find that most male players are very courteous and helpful. I honestly believe that modern times do not allow men to express their natural desire to be gallant and noble and a hero. My characters have been the fortunate objects of several such expressions and no matter what anyone says, there is nothing quite like being a lady in the company of a knight in shining armor .. nothing.
