The amount of money gained isn't tremendous, but it is generally sufficient enough to purchase new abilities. Picking up the Scavenging tradeskill will help boost your income too, as you can Scavenge from the corpses of enemy players.

Immediately players will wonder how they can compete with players higher level than them. The well-known Chicken mechanic takes care of players outside of your tier. If a player from a higher tier enters a lower tier RvR area, they will be turned into a 1 HP chicken with no abilities that auto-attacks for 1 damage. The tiers are:

Tier 1: Levels 1 to 11.
Tier 2: Levels 12 to 21.
Tier 3: Levels 22 to 31.
Tier 4: Levels 32 to 40.

If you level out of your tier bracket while in a scenario, you may play out the scenario and not be Chicken-ized. If you level to 12 while in open-world RvR, you instantly turn fowl.
