Dawn of War II beta coming January 21

The release date for Dawn of War II, the sequel to the excellent Warhammer-themed RTS developed by Relic, is slowly approaching, with the game expected to hit store shelves in late February. Relic has announced that excited players will soon have a chance to test-drive the game prior to the release with the official beta.Relic knows how to make fun, action-oriented RTS games, so we're really looking forward to checking this one out—it's a real shame we couldn't do so at CES this year. We've got our copies of Soulstorm, though, so watch out for some impressions of the game when the early beta lands and a full review when the game launches on February 23 exclusively for the PC. 

Details about the beta are available on Relic's Community site. The beta, which will be coming down the pike through Steam, is scheduled to begin on January 28 for the general public, but will start on January 21 for those that purchased the most recent expansion to the original game, Dawn of War: Soulstorm. The beta will include all four of the game's playable races, five multiplayer maps, and integrated Games for Windows TrueSkill matchmaking.
