The rumors cropped up when EA Games president Frank Gibeau stated, “They’re both under consideration,” when asked about console versions of The Old Republic and Warhammer Online. But LucasArts Boss Tom Nichols was quick to derail the hope train by flatly stating that the new Star Wars game, "is PC-only,”

Gamers were excited to get confirmation on the long-rumored Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO, but no sooner was the game unveiled than new rumors began to spring up. The most significant of which was whether LucasArts and BioWare would be bringing this hotly anticipated title to consoles.

So if you’re hoping to enter the universe of The Old Republic, you’re going to have to do it armed with a mouse and keyboard rather than a controller. Sorry console owners, but it looks like you’ll have to keep dreaming for that big giant MMO that finally matches the PC’s strength.
