The only overall strategies you’ll need in warhammer are general teamwork to take and hold nodes, keep up with your opponents on kills, and beat your opponent at Flag Farming .

The scenario is actually quite simple, although the specific strategies you'll use will depend entirely on the situation and what you have at your disposal. Take and hold more nodes than your opponent and take every opportunity to flag farm your opponents, while giving them no chance to flag farm off you.

Now, the main thing left to delve into here is the unique terrain. When holding GS, you’ll want to get your healers and RDPS up on top of the ledge with their backs to one of your own nodes, which should have a person or two to defend it, while your tanks keep any of your opponents from taking the short cut up the ramp from GS to beat on them. Tanks should also be the ones who help keep the node in your favor. MDPS should be the main force down on top of the flag, while also jumping up to the opponent’s ledge to take down any of your opponent’s RDPS/healers.

The people that defend your peripheral node should consist of a tank, healer, and dps, preferably ranged. All should be good at kiting and using line of sight to survive, and they should work together to figure out a way that they can take on attacking enemies without dying, while still holding the node. They should also be the ones to make sure that their allied RDPS/healers that are focused on the middle aren’t owned from behind. These ranged people can also be called upon to help defend the node if these 3 need reinforcements.

The Gates of Ekrund offers a unique close-quarters battle that I hope will be repeated in later tiers, as it creates a very unique battle feel compared to the normal field.
