By doing quests, killing monsters or finding hidden treasures. A major difference between WAR and WoW is the focus on PvP, or player-vs-player combat.

The war between the two factions is the central point of the game, and players can earn lots of experience and items by killing players of the other team. There are plenty of opportunities to engage in PvP, as the game seems to have been designed around it.

Most areas have a large castle for either side to take control of and fight over, and there are plenty of other "scenarios" to take part in, varying PvP matches with different objectives. It is even possible to take over and destroy the enemy faction's capital city.

This single-minded focus on slaughtering your enemies can make playing WAR a slightly daunting proposition for someone new to videogames, and looking for a relaxing way to spend an evening. Experienced gamers, on the other hand, should enjoy it immensely, as the strong competition adds more of an actual "game" feeling, with something to achieve, rather than a slightly pointless virtual world to exist in.

One of the best parts of playing an MMO is grouping up with other players, to tackle quests and objectives together as a team. However, in previous games of the genre, such as WoW, finding a good group has often been far harder than it should be. WAR provides a fantastic solution to this, which makes one wonder why no-one else has thought of it already.
